April 2010

Your continued support of the NCO, along with your membership dues, will
allow us to continue to host events such as the Candidate Forum and plan other Osage
events, be they cultural, social, or educational. We are sort of like the PBS network in
that we depend on your monetary support to keep operating, and so thanks
again for updating your membership. If anyone missed their opportunity to do so at the recent Candidate Forum, you can still pay your 2010 dues by sending a check payable to NCO in the amount of $35/Family or $25/Individual to Karen Elliott, our NCO Treasurer. We would also request that you include a note with your current email address and best-phone-number-to-call:

Osage Candidate Forum Attendees,

We again thank everyone that was able to support the Candidate Forum this
past Sunday, April 25, 2010. If you weren’t able to attend, or even if you did, and would still like to see a video of the event, we are currently considering providing a DVD at a
nominal cost to members and/or hosting the video on a web site. Please let us
know if this is something you would be interested in by replying to this post.

George Baldwin, fellow Osage, has written a song that touches on the topic of Reservations in a Digital age. Discovering this song doesn’t seem to be a coincidence considering our recent Candidate Forum topic of off-rez Congressional Candidates.

Take a few minutes to listen to George perform his original work.
